The little creative circle of which I am a small part wanted to create a calendar for the year 2004 (I think) and this is the picture I did for the month of November. I have a little obsession with eyes (like a lot of people I find), people used to get freaked out when staying in my room because they were ever stared at by my array of eyes displayed on the wall.
The eye was created in chalk pastel in my first year student halls in Glasgow. I'd like to think i've improved since then. However I don't really have any up to date art up here. So you can't test that theory . Chalk Pastel is probably my favourite media. I find that as a general rule it matches my rather hazy approach to art. Sadly though I just can't seem to stop my pastel pictures fading, even after using expensive sealant. So this is a little snapshot of when this picture was first made. I guess everything is only temporal.
