I haven't put anything up here for over a year for stupid reasons but mostly because I haven't done very much. This is the poster I did on commission for a local band (Immoral) for their recent album launch. I'm not sure how much plugging i'm allowed to do so i'll leave it there. Its a portrait of all the members of the band done in pencil plus black and red ink and the original is A3 in size. This scan is slightly cropped but that's not a terrible thing. I used photographs for reference but the street is actually Maryhill road in Glasgow and Westminister with Big Ben is quite far away from there lol. The quality of the image I used for the guys was really poor and hence some of the guys are out of proportion but despite this i've had some good feedback from it. So i'll be interested to hear what any of you have to say. The idea for the picture was mostly the bands. They liked the black white and red of some Anti-flag promotional artwork so I tried to incorporate that idea whilst giving it my own twist. The crowd are the faceless, voiceless, masses I guess inspired by the title of the album. Generally though the overal idea was the band's the execution was my own.

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
