Ok I just realised this isn't exactly finished. It probably should have gone in scraps but I haven't properly submitted anything for ages so... best start hehe. Its very difficult to dedicate much enthusiasm to anything at the moment.
There are some big flaws in this, mostly because I kept picking up pencils rather than pastels (don't ask... bit mad atm). And I couldn't go over these portions.
I intend this to be a preliminary for a larger portrait. I really like using the coloured background and layering tones over it. It is essentially a portrait of two of my friends up here in Glasgow.
I really loved the original shot, where lighting illuminated the girl on the right's face really brightly making her look so angelic. The girl on the left's face had just this slight hint of light from the mobile phone and it just worked really well as a shot.
